Emery, James

James Emery (1820–n.d.) was a jeweler in Bucksport, Maine. He was the owner of Linwood Cottage and gave a photograph of it to Lane. The cottage is still standing, and is recorded in the National Register of Historic Places.

Emery married Matilda Goodale Harvey (1822–52) in 1844. After Matilda's death, James married Matilda's sister, Caroline Elliot Harvey.
