Cape Ann Advertiser Masthead

On July 7, 1865 the Cape Ann Advertiser printed a new form of the paper. This "new and enlarged" form included a new masthead, designed by Lane and engraved by Kilburn & Mallory of Boston. "The design for the vignette being drawn by Mr. Fitz H. Lane, of this town, who has given a faithful representation of a Gloucester fishing vessel leaving the harbor."
