"Spitfire" (Clipper Ship)

The clipper ship "Spitfire" was built by James Arey & Company at Frankfort, Maine in 1853 for Thomas Grey and Manning & Stanwood of Boston. She was in the English tea trade in her first few years, working the rest of her career in the California trade.
