Currier (& Ives) – New York
Currier & Ives was based in New York City, run solely by Nathaniel Currier (1813–88) until 1856. He was then joined by James Merritt Ives (1824–95). There is no direct connection between Lane and this firm, but many of the Currier lithographs show locations also depicted by Lane.

- Illustration shows a group of men standing on the shore with the exhibition buildings in the background. Two men stand in the foreground; on the left, an American, boasting of "Yankee superiority" over the British, says "Mister Bull you can now see the 'American department' of 'the exhibition,'" and gestures towards two paddle steamers and a sailboat just off-shore; behind them a small group of men has gathered around a grain harvester and discuss American advances in agriculture and technology. The figures representing the British all wear frowns on their faces.
