Alfred Edwards bought "Coast of Maine" for fifty dollars at the 1852 American Art Union sale. He is also listed as having bought S. H. Sexton's "Mohawk Scenery" for forty-five dollars. Cowdrey lists him as being in "Silks, Brooklyn".
